“BRIDGE,
Fun With Friends and Learning” is a recent addition to the
branch. The gatherings are open to members, who may attend with guests
or prospective members. The Bridge group generally meets on the 2nd
Monday of each month at a group member’s home. Ron
Fogel, husband of member Phyllis Fogel, will lead the group and provide
instruction preceding the play. Ron
and Phyllis are both Silver Life Masters of the ACBL (American Contract
Bridge League) and are well-known bridge players in the Chicagoland area. They play in several tournaments a year as
well as in local bridge clubs in the area.
Ron is also an ACBL accredited teacher and has taught at the College
of DuPage Older Adult Institute for
more than ten years. Each
Bridge evening will begin with a short lesson on various aspects of the
game. The Fogels will be available to
answer questions during the bidding and play of the hand. The emphasis will be on having fun with
several different partners during the evening. We'll
have a great time learning and playing bridge! |
